Crispy Potato Vegetable Bake – Better Than Pizza



 

This quick and delicious potato-based dish is a must-try! With just a few simple ingredients, you’ll get a golden, crispy, and flavorful meal that’s cheaper and easier than pizza — perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a light dinner.


Ingredients

  • 3 potatoes (grated)
  • 4–5 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 red peppers, chopped
  • 3 green peppers, chopped
  • 3 eggs
  • Salt to taste
  • 1.5 cups milk (300 ml)
  • 2 cups all-purpose wheat flour (240 g)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes:
    Peel and grate the potatoes, then squeeze out excess water using a clean kitchen towel.
  2. Sauté the Vegetables:
    Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan. Add the chopped onions and peppers. Cook over medium heat until soft and slightly golden.
  3. Mix the Batter:
    In a large bowl, combine the grated potatoes, cooked vegetables, eggs, salt, milk, and flour. Mix until smooth and thick.
  4. Cook or Bake:
    • Option 1 (Pan version): Pour the mixture into a non-stick skillet and cook over medium-low heat. Flip halfway through until both sides are golden brown.
    • Option 2 (Oven version): Pour into a greased baking dish and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30–35 minutes, or until golden and crispy on top.
  5. Serve:
    Cut into slices and serve hot! You can add cheese on top for an extra delicious touch.

Tip: Serve with yogurt or a fresh salad — it’s simple, tasty, and truly better than pizza!
