by

Ingredients

1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 cup creamy peanut butter
4 cups chow mein noodles
1 cup salted peanuts
Directions
Line a baking tray with wax paper.
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the butterscotch chips and peanut butter.
Microwave the mixture in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth.
Melt the chocolate separately via microwave using same method.
Add the chow mein noodles and salted peanuts to the melted mixture, stirring until everything is well coated.
Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared waxed paper. Drizzle chocolate on top.
Allow the haystacks to cool and set until firm, about 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Enjoy your sweet and crunchy treats!
Variations & Tips
For a different flavor profile, try using white chocolate chips instead of butterscotch chips. You can also add a sprinkle of sea salt on top for a sweet and salty combination. If you’re a fan of coconut, mix in a half cup of shredded coconut for extra texture. For those who love a bit of spice, a pinch of cayenne pepper can add an unexpected kick to these treats.

Enjoy!

Making lemon powder is very easy:

by

Everybody has squeezed a lemon for juice or a dish and then carelessly thrown away the rind. But these peels, which we assumed were useless, conceal a surprising culinary gem: handmade lemon powder. This easy, cost-effective, and distinctive approach will give your dishes and desserts a little extra zing. Are you prepared to find this fragrant treasure?

What is the purpose of using lemon powder in cooking?
Imagine an ingredient that complements your savory dishes and soft desserts, that comes in a little jar, and that smells like summer. That’s precisely what lemon powder provides. Made from dried and finely ground lemon zest, it adds a vibrant, fresh scent that works well in a variety of dishes.

Reusing the peels is also a great way to reduce food waste and make the most of every centimeter of our lemons, especially if they are grown organically.Best restaurants near me

How can I prepare my own powdered lemon?
This recipe is as easy as boiling water and doesn’t require any specialized cooking skills or expensive equipment. These are the actions to take.

Selecting the appropriate lemons
Choose organic or untreated lemons wherever possible. Their skin is free of chemical residues and has a deeper scent.

Get the zest ready.
After giving the lemons a good wash in cold water, pat them dry. Remove the skin with a vegetable peeler or a small knife, being careful not to cut off the bitter white component known as the zest.

Let the bark dry.

Depending on what you have available, you can choose from three methods:

In the sun: For two to three days, spread the zest on a fresh cloth and place it in a bright area. To avoid humidity, bring them indoors at night.
In cooking, it’s similar to a magic ingredient—just a pinch may turn a simple recipe into a delicious and aromatic meal.
Sweet side: For a subtle yet sophisticated tangy touch, sprinkle it over your cakes, muffins, creams, or shortbread. A treat in a fruit tart or yogurt cake!
Savory version: It complements roasted vegetables, risottos, marinades, and fish meals. When you add a little lemon powder and a sprinkle of olive oil, your veggies start to seem more Mediterranean.
In your beverages: Add a pinch to a glass of fresh water or a homemade non-alcoholic cocktail for a refreshing touch, or infuse it into your herbal teas.
To make your own vinaigrettes: It goes really well with a base of olive oil, honey, and mustard. Ideal for adding some flavor to a rather boring salad!
Lemon powder not only tastes great, but it also gives a sophisticated touch. You may believe it’s a chef’s ingredient, but it’s even better because you prepared it yourself!

How To Make 2-Ingredient Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

by

Looking for a rich, chocolatey frosting that’s as easy to make as it is delicious? This 2-ingredient chocolate buttercream frosting is your answer. With just two pantry staples, you can whip up a creamy, indulgent topping perfect for cakes, cupcakes, or even brownies. Let’s dive into this simple yet decadent recipe!

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • Only Two Ingredients: No complicated techniques or long ingredient lists—just pure chocolatey goodness.
  • Quick Prep Time: Ready in under 5 minutes, making it ideal for last-minute desserts.
  • Versatile: Use it as a frosting, filling, or dip—your options are endless!
  • Customizable: Adjust sweetness and texture to suit your taste.

What You’ll Need

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted (add more if needed for thickness)
  • Optional: 1–2 tablespoons cocoa powder (for extra chocolate flavor)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Soften the Butter

Make sure your butter is at room temperature. Softened butter ensures smooth mixing and prevents lumps in your frosting.

Step 2: Sift the Powdered Sugar

Sifting the powdered sugar eliminates any clumps and creates a lighter, fluffier texture. If you skip this step, your frosting may feel grainy.

Step 3: Combine Butter and Sugar

In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer or stand mixer to beat the softened butter until light and fluffy (about 1 minute). Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar, beating on low speed initially to prevent a sugar storm. Increase the speed and continue beating until fully combined.

Step 4: Add Cocoa Powder (Optional)

For an extra chocolate boost, stir in 1–2 tablespoons of cocoa powder. Beat again until the color darkens and the flavor intensifies.

Step 5: Taste & Adjust

If the frosting isn’t sweet enough, add more powdered sugar, one tablespoon at a time. For a thinner consistency, mix in a splash of milk or heavy cream.

Step 6: Frost Away!

Spread the frosting generously over your favorite baked goods. Pipe decorative swirls with a piping bag or simply dollop it on top for a rustic look.

Tips for Success

  • Use Quality Ingredients: Opt for premium unsalted butter and finely ground powdered sugar for the best results.
  • Adjust Consistency: Add more powdered sugar for stiffer peaks or a bit of milk for a smoother spread.
  • Chill Before Piping: If the frosting feels too soft, refrigerate it for 10–15 minutes to firm up before decorating.
  • Store Properly: Keep leftover frosting in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week. Re-whip before using.

Why Everyone Will Love It

This 2-ingredient chocolate buttercream frosting proves that simplicity doesn’t mean sacrificing flavor. Its velvety texture and deep chocolate notes make it a crowd-pleaser for any occasion. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, holiday, or just because, this frosting adds a touch of elegance to every dessert.

Final Thoughts

Sometimes the best recipes are the simplest ones, and this 2-ingredient chocolate buttercream frosting is no exception. With minimal effort and maximum impact, it transforms ordinary treats into extraordinary delights. So gather your ingredients, fire up the mixer, and prepare to indulge in this rich, creamy masterpiece!

Honey Butter Skillet Corn

by

Frozen corn, honey, butter, and cream cheese come together in this quick and simple 15-minute side dish: Honey Butter Skillet Corn. Quite tasty, with a creamy and sugary side.

Butter and Honey Skillet Corn

Our home is in the Midwest, where summertime brings an abundance of fresh corn from farmers’ fields sold at charming roadside kiosks. The corn is both plentiful and flavorful.

This one-pan meal is perfect for weeknights (or any night of the week) since it’s simple and everyone loves it!

Recipe Items
Butter, 2 tablespoons For my recipes, I call for salted

2 teaspoons of honey and one 16 oz. bag frozen maize
Two ounces of chunked cream cheese
A quarter teaspoon of salt
little about a quarter teaspoon of black pepper
Honey Butter Skillet Corn Recipe Instructions
In a skillet, melt the honey and butter over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring periodically, for 5 to 8 minutes after the butter has melted, or until the corn is tender.

Cream cheese, salt, and pepper should be added. Add everything and whisk to combine. Cook, stirring regularly, for around three to five minutes.

Make sure to serve right away. When refrigerated, leftovers stay fresh for a long time when sealed in a container.

Although the nutrition information is based on six portions of the side dish, you can easily get eight servings out of this recipe if you’re feeding little children.

Any kind of frozen corn would do, but my favorite is gold n’ white corn. Verify that it is the 16-ounce (1 pound) bag of frozen corn.
