Baked Parmesan Potato Fries


 

Baked Parmesan Potato Fries are a crispy and flavorful alternative to deep-fried fries. They are tossed with Parmesan cheese, garlic, and herbs, then baked to golden perfection. Perfect as a side dish or a healthy snack.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium russet potatoes

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning (optional)

  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Prep the Potatoes

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

  • Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into even-sized fries or wedges.

  • Place in a bowl of cold water and soak for 20 minutes to remove excess starch.

  • Drain and pat dry with a clean towel.

2. Season the Fries

  • Place dried potatoes in a large bowl.

  • Add olive oil, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning if using.

  • Toss well to coat every piece evenly.

3. Bake

  • Arrange fries in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

4. Serve

  • Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese.

  • Serve hot with ketchup, ranch, or garlic aioli.

Tips and Variations

  • Extra Crispiness: Use a wire rack on top of the baking sheet to allow air to circulate under the fries.

  • Cheesy Upgrade: Sprinkle mozzarella or cheddar cheese during the last 5 minutes of baking.

  • Spicy Kick: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chili powder for heat.

  • Sweet Potato Version: Swap russet potatoes with sweet potatoes for a healthier twist.

These Baked Parmesan Potato Fries are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and full of savory flavor. A perfect side for burgers, grilled meats, or as a stand-alone snack.
